What the Panhandle actually asks of a capture crew.

Three conditions dominate this coast and they fight each other. Occupied high rise on the beach side, where documentation has to happen without a lift or a lane closure. Heavy canopy and planted pine inland, where photogrammetry alone will hand you the top of the trees. And flat, sandy ground everywhere in between, where a tenth of a foot decides where the water goes.

The other constraint is airspace. Between Eglin, Hurlburt, Duke Field, Tyndall, Whiting, the coastal fields at Destin and Panama City, and the restricted and warning areas offshore, very little of this region is uncontrolled. Authorizations get requested during planning, and knowing which ones actually clear quickly is local knowledge more than it is a procedure.

Then there is the season. Every year from June forward, the smartest thing a coastal property owner can do is get a dated record of the building before anything happens to it. That flight is cheap. Arguing with an adjuster about what the roof looked like in June is not.

How quickly can you get to a site in Florida Panhandle?

Usually same day or next day. This is our home market and mobilization is a drive, not a trip.

Do you charge mobilization for this area?

Mobilization is part of every scope and it is the reason very small isolated sites cost more per acre than they should. If you have several parcels in the region, putting them on one trip is worth planning and we will help you do it.

Can you handle controlled airspace here?

Yes, and on this coast that is most of the map. Authorizations are requested during planning rather than the morning of the flight, and we will tell you during scoping if a site has an airspace constraint that affects the schedule.

Do you work under other firms in this market?

Constantly. White label capture for surveyors, engineers and architects is a large share of what we do, and the deliverable goes out under your name.
